The summer packet includes important information you need to know before school begins.

During the school year, our campus will be under construction as we build a new Fine Arts Center and an Early Learning Center. Please understand we are making great efforts to make this transitional year run as smoothly as possible.

Please enter through the main school entrance if you would like to visit the Early Learning Center, Lower School or Middle School. All visitors must check in with the school receptionist.

* The North Midway entrance will remain open pending the progress of the deceleration lane. Once construction begins the entrance will close.

Purchase Textbooks for Advanced Placement Classes

All students enrolled in Advanced Placement classes will need to purchase their text books online.

The textbook provider is offering POPCS a discount shipping rate of $4.95. This flat shipping rate only applies to POPCS AP textbooks.

Only students enrolled in Advanced Placement classes need to purchase their textbooks.
Textbooks will be provided to all students enrolled in Pre-AP classes.

MS PE Uniforms

All middle school students are required to purchase a PE uniform set. To place an order, return your completed order form with attached payment to the Athletic Department. You may view sample uniforms in the Athletic Department. Uniforms will be distributed on the first day of school.

Please make checks payable to POPCS Booster Club. Uniforms are not available through Campus Outfitters.

Ice Cream Passes

No more lost dollars!

No more tears, “I forgot my dollar!”

No more last minute runs to school!

Here is how it works:

  1. Return the completed order form with attached payment, $32.00 per child, to the Parent Room by September 12, 2008 to purchase your Ice Cream pass. The pass is good for the entire 2008/2009 school year.

  2. Your child will be put on a Master List - no cards to lose! Passes are available for children in K-Prep through 12th grade.

  3. On Ice Cream Fridays, all your child will have to do is give his/her name to the Ice Cream Moms to enjoy this special treat!

After School Chess Program
After School Chess ProgramMr. Frank Mordente will continue teaching the after school Chess Program, meeting once every week, starting Monday, September 8, 2008 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

The fee for the Fall Semester is $70.00 per month, plus a one-time $25 registration fee, due on September 8. Each month thereafter, the $70 will be due on the first day of each month. Families who wish to enroll for the entire Fall Semester will receive a 15 % discount. The
reduced fee for Fall Semester will be $235 + $25 for registration for a total of $260, if paid in advance, in full. This is the equivalent of one almost one free month of instruction. There will be no refunds for classes missed by a student due to injury or illness, or days allocated by the school for holidays or vacations.

500 Seat Fine Arts Center
Stay abreast with the latest news, photos and blogs about Prince of Peace’s new 500 seat Fine Arts Center. As news breaks and construction begins we will post all updates at princeofpeace.org/ fineartscenter.  Currently you can view schematic designs, but once changes occur on campus we will post photos of the progress. This is an exciting time for our school and we want to keep you updated with the latest developments.
