Lourdes Patino

Lourdes Patino was born and raised in the city of Puebla in Mexico, the capital of the state by the same name, some 200 kilometers southeast of Mexico City.  She studied accounting and started working at a firm where she met her husband Alberto Benitez some 31 years ago

In 1995, she and her children moved to the Dallas area so they could further their education, while her husband stayed in Mexico running an accounting consulting firm that we had developed.  Upon arriving in Dallas, my children, Juan Pablo and Stefanie, were enrolled into Holy Cross Lutheran School and Dallas Lutheran School respectively, where they graduated in 2001 and 2003.

Lourdes was involved at Holy Cross with their Early Child Care program – with toddlers and later 3 year olds – from 1995 up until October of 2008.  In 2009, I was invited to join Prince of Peace in their Early Learning Center by Mrs. Lynne Keckonen.

Her favorite thing about her job at POP is the reward of watching the little boys and girls grow up right before your eyes, and the daily reward of their laughter, hugs, and the spontaneous moments that an infant provides.

Lourdes has two children, Stefanie and Juan Pablo.  Stefanie is a corporate lawyer practicing in Dallas and Juan Pablo is an Economics and Government teacher at the Shelton School in Dallas.

Mrs. Sanchez’s classroom philosophy is based upon Matthew 19:14, “Let the little children come unto Me and do not hinder them for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”  Her classroom allows children to experience a secure, loving environment where children will learn through rich and creative activities.  She believes each child is unique and precious in God’s sight.
